The beauf style of summer 2024!
The redneck (beauf in French) generally complains about winter because he cannot express his style perfectly.
Wrapped up in his Schott bomber jacket from the 90s (which he cares about at least as much as his children), we can only see his clothing style. Old-fashioned certainly, but so horrible for a young generation Z.

Ah, summer... that time long awaited by our friends the rednecks, where the sun shines, the waves dance, and the beers flow freely. This is the moment when floral shirts flourish on the muscular shoulders (or not) of rednecks of all kinds, when flip-flops become the height of elegance and when sunscreen turns into room fragrance.
But where does the redneck come from?
A dive into cultural history. In the French socio-cultural landscape, the term “beauf” is often used to describe a very particular stereotype: the slightly boorish man, a beer lover (if you want a useful gadget for opening beers, it's here) , often associated with a certain vulgarity and sometimes questionable tastes. But where does this term really come from and how did it become anchored in the French collective imagination?
